Welcome to CSRS 2016 website

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is my honour and great pleasure to invite you to attend the 32nd Annual Meeting of the European Section of the Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS-ES) that will take place in the beautiful city of Prague at the Corinthia Hotel on 11-13th May 2016.

The 2015 CSRS-ES meeting in London proved to be a success and demonstrated an increasing collaboration of the three CSRS sections. We would like to continue this rather positive trend and hope to welcome not only our European colleagues, but also friends from Asia and USA, here in Prague.

I believe that the 2016 CSRS meeting will provide a forum for a wide range of topics and, through a wide international representation, offer a truly comprehensive picture of our subspecialty, its latest developments and research. We promise to prepare a broad spectrum scientific programme, allowing for a plentiful exchange clinical ideas, opinions, evidence and experiences.

Since the Middle Ages, „Golden Prague“ has enjoyed the reputation of being one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and the world. Many nations and cultures, especially Czechs, Jews and Germans, co-existed peacefully in the magnificent city of Prague that developed over the centuries along the Vltava River. Walking the streets of Prague including Charles Bridge, Prague Castle district with St. Vitus Cathedral is a memory to remember. One cannot forget the oldest working astronomical clock in the world installed in 1410, the Prague “Orloj”, and the Old Town itself – a maze of winding cobblestone streets, old houses, churches, cafes and pubs, that have been attracting visitors from afar for centuries. And finally a little quiz question: where in the world is beer cheaper than water in pubs? Come and find out for yourself what Pilsner or Budvar taste like on a sunny spring evening in Prague.

I am convinced that you and your families will enjoy all that Prague has to offer, combined with the opportunity to catch up your old friends, colleagues and make new ones, all in the setting of learning and exchanging experience, knowledge and research in your specialty.

I am excited and look forward to meeting you in Prague in May 2016.

Yours faithfully

Prof. Petr Suchomel, M.D., Ph.D.
Host of the CSRS 2016 Annual Meeting
